Who else can help with equipment?

Many shops and mail order companies sell equipment. Your local Health Services also provide some equipment through district nurses, GPs and therapists. This includes: 

• Cushions and mattresses to prevent and treat pressure sores

• Adjustable beds

• Mobility aids such as walking equipment

• Wheelchairs for people with long-term disabilities

The Red Cross provides equipment on a short-term loan basis. This can help visitors to Norfolk, or after surgery, an illness or accident that that you expect to recover from. Ring 01603 426361 or 08450 547181

Red Cross equipment includes:

• Commodes

• Wheelchairs for short-term use

• Equipment to help with bathing and use of toilet
