At Norfolk County Council our Economic Development Unit offers information and advice to businesses in Norfolk and our Trading Standards department publishes guidance documents for business and the consumer. We are also part of "Shaping Norfolk's Future", a private and public sector partnership formed to develop the economy of Norfolk.
A bid to create a dynamic and responsive business-led partnership that will drive change for Norfolk has been submitted to the Government.
Formulated by a consensus of Norfolk businesses and local authorities, the proposal seeks to create a single Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for Norfolk.

The Norfolk Better Regulation Partnership aims to ‘deliver improved regulatory outcomes, particularly those related to health, safety, crime reduction, antisocial behaviour, environmental protection and economic vitality, whilst reducing unnecessary burdens on compliant businesses’.
The organisations that make up the NBRP include the providers of the Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Fire and Rescue Services in Norfolk.
