Workforce Development provides a number of services, advice and support to Norfolk’s early years and childcare settings.
Training
We have a responsibility to provide those working in the sector with statutory training such as first aid, safeguarding (child protection), risk assessment etc. Alongside this, practitioners are also offered lots of professional development training opportunities around the five Every Child Matters outcomes, which support children to:
- Be healthy
- Stay safe
- Enjoy & achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well-being.
Recruitment
Workforce Development also supports the sector with their recruitment needs by running a free to use jobs website and providing lists of voluntary placements available for those looking at getting started in a career in childcare.
