The Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library is located at the Forum, a landmark Millennium building designed by Architects Michael Hopkins & Partners. The Forum project was funded by a grant from the Millennium Commission with matching support from Norfolk County Council, Norwich City Council and the business community. The Forum is home to several organisations and is a focus for a wide range of learning and cultural activities in the centre of Norwich. It houses learning organisations, café, restaurant and takeaway facilities, as well as the state of the art Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library. As the busiest public library in the country, the Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library offers resources and facilities to support the learning and reading needs of people of all ages and abilities. There is information to help child and adult learners in their studies or career choices, as well as resources for job seekers, historians and businesses. Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library opening times and events In September 1980, the Norfolk & Norwich Koblenz Friendship Association was founded with the aim of promoting informal links between Norwich and Koblenz, building on a relationship between the Koblenz region and Norfolk which began as early as 1956. In July 2006 the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library welcomed the Librarian of Koblenz Dr. Ulrich Theuerkauf and it was agreed that a friendship between libraries in Koblenz and libraries in Norwich should be fostered.
