Big cuts in park and ride costs for lone drivers and travel pass holders come into force on Monday 8 June at five of Norfolk County Council's six Norwich park & rides. All the sites except the Airport* Park & Ride are changing from the current 'pay to park' system to 'pay on the bus.'

Norfolk County Council's road surface dressing programme for 2009 begins this week, with work starting in the Hopton area, around Ludham and to the east of Acle.

Consultation has been launched on the strategy including a preferred option for the distribution of growth. It is hoped that this consultation will help people understand and consider the broad strategy for the three districts, including the favoured option to develop new jobs and homes in and around Norwich. This report is publicly available in printed and electronic formats, and a programme of exhibitions is taking place to help give people an opportunity to find out more. Alongside this, Norfolk County Council has developed plans for the future of travel in the Norwich area. They involve a significant commitment towards further improving public transport, walking and cycling; something we feel is important to support the planned growth.
