What’s new on the Norfolk Data Observatory?

New development to Norfolk Data Observatory – www.norfolkdata.net/

We hope to have a pilot site ready in early May for evaluation. We are working closely with partners (King’s Lynn and West Norfolk and Great Yarmouth Local Strategic Partnerships) to pilot examples of their information requirements. The development will give more flexibility with the data in creating reports, which will include charts alongside data, maps and a time series for themed sets of data. It will include reporting and monitoring Local Area Agreement indicators and we also hope to include Waveney district area on the Observatory.

The Census can still tell us a lot about Norfolk

A useful source of information
Take a look at Norfolk Census Explorer - www.norfolkcensusexplorer.net. It provides all the local statistics from the 2001 Census for Norfolk. It’s a useful source of information and can be used to help to target resources, carry out research or put together a funding bid. You can look at census information from a parish to a primary care trust, or from a children’s service area to the county of Norfolk. We have 19 defined service areas available. You can also register to look in detail at the 330 tables!
