Hempnall roundabout

The new roundabout to replace the notorious Hempnall crossroads was completed between May and November 2019 and cost £4.6m to construct. The new roundabout was built to help unlock economic growth, reduce journey times, ease traffic congestion and improve road safety. Funding of £3.05m came from the Department for Transport with a further £650,000 from New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership's Growth Deal with central Government. The remainder was financed by the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Norfolk County Council.

Consultation

An informal public consultation on the plan, that ran in March and April 2018, showed overwhelming support for the scheme. For more information on the consultation visit norfolk.citizenspace.com.
