Training for motorcyclists

Training is essential if you want to stay safe and get the most out of your bike.

We offer training courses for all full A or A2 qualified motorcyclists of all skill levels. Email roadsafety@norfolk.gov.uk for more information or to book a course.

We work closely with dealers and bike groups so we're often the first to hear about what's going on. Follow Norfolk Road Safety on Facebook to stay up to date with events and general information on the bike scene.

Safe Rider

This course costs £50 and includes a two-and-a-half hour evening session and a five hour road session.

The course also includes:

  • Downloads to read and keep
  • An introduction to the police Roadcraft system (opens new window)
  • Professional advice and an opportunity to have your riding assessed with constructive feedback
  • A demonstration ride by a police rider

Safe Rider is a fun, relaxed and informal course. It's a joint initiative between Norfolk Constabulary and Norfolk County Council which aims to reduce motorcycle casualties.
