Special Educational Needs (SEN) Strategy

Norfolk County Council Children’s Services is setting out plans for SEN provision for 2007 – 2015. We have worked closely with a range of different people who both provide and receive children’s services in Norfolk, and have used our experience of what works well for children and young people to do this. The strategy plans have been developed from detailed discussions across Norfolk through the SEN Review carried out in 2005, formal consultations carried out in 2006 and 2007 and ongoing liaison with special schools, mainstream schools, Children’s Services professionals, reference groups and individuals interested in SEN.

We will report the results of our current feasibility studies and an outline implementation plan to County Councillors. These reports to Councillors can be viewed online seven days prior to each of the following meetings:
