Renew your vows

A renewal of vows ceremony offers couples an opportunity to celebrate their marriage or civil partnership again.  Perhaps you have a special anniversary or significant date around the corner you may like to celebrate.

Although renewal of vows ceremonies have no legal status, it is an opportunity to renew commitment to each other in a personal way in a non-religious setting.

You can hold your ceremony at one of our registration offices, at a venue licensed by Norfolk County Council, or at a place of your choosing.

If you are planning to hold your ceremony at an approved venue, you will also need to ensure your local registrars are available to conduct your ceremony.  Do not pay a deposit until you have done this.

Costs

Monday to Thursday £295
Friday/Saturday £350
Sunday/Bank Holiday £375

If the celebration is to be held in one of our ceremony suites including the Colman Gallery and Great Yarmouth Town Hall on a Friday or Saturday, an additional room hire fee of £65 will be added. Any celebration taking place after 5pm will incur an additional charge of £50.

All prices are inclusive of £200 deposit.

We will ask you to pay the balance of the fee eight weeks before your ceremony.

If you wish to hold this event at your home or at an unlicensed venue (for example a local village hall) a location and contact report may be required. This is to check the location for the ceremony and to meet with you to run through a few things to help on the day. The report will include what will happen on the day in case of bad weather (if the ceremony is to be held outside). The fee is currently £35.

*There will be additional fees payable to the licensed venue.
