Businesses on the Norfolk Trails

Just under 500,000 trips were taken on Norfolk Trails last year.  Your tourism business can benefit from its proximity to a trail:

  • Sign up to the Norfolk Trails business database.  We will keep you abreast of opportunities as they arise and add a link to your website from our interactive map. Register for the business database and interactive map. (PDF) [125KB]
  • Help yourself to the downloadable Norfolk Trails maps and make them available to your customers.  We have lots of circular walks as well as linear trails.
  • The COOL Tourism Project produced a rural tourism business toolkit as one of the project's major outputs.  This toolkit was developed by Hidden Britain (with the support of Norfolk Trails and project partners from the east and south of England and northern France) and is packed with useful information and advice for rural tourism businesses of all types, sizes and stages of development.  It will help with business evaluation, market identification, business sustainability, effective communication and marketing - all to help develop your business and encourage initiatives that offer great visitor experiences.
  • Explore More Coast is a project designed to encourage more people to spend more time exploring the area's unique environmental and heritage features.  It will include: 30 new short and circular walks; developing a walking festival; working with towns and parishes to create a network of 'Walkers are Welcome' communities; training 20 volunteers to become walk leaders; and implementing a 'Tourism For All' marketing campaign to highlight the suitability of the walks for everyone including families, older people and those with mobility issues.  Register your interest by emailing norfolktrails@norfolk.gov.uk and quoting Explore More Coast, and one of the team will get in touch.
