Buying the site

Norfolk County Council took ownership of the site after buying it from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) for £4m in January 2013. We are convinced that the price paid for the 600 plus acre site represents excellent value for money for Norfolk’s council taxpayers.

We remain confident that buying the site will bring it back to life after six years of it being neglected and largely unused and that over time the Authority will be able to create sustainable revenue for the County Council over a long period of time as well as create jobs in the local economy.

The Scottow Enterprise Park site represents a major economic asset with a variety of possible uses, and with significant potential to benefit the local and wider economy of Norfolk.
