Community alcohol and drug recovery grants: connecting individuals in recovery with their community

We have slightly amended the scoring criteria used to score any applications received - see section 6 and 7 of version 2 of the application pack below.

We will accept applications on both version 1 and version 2 of the application pack.

Public Health commissions services to support some of the most vulnerable people in Norfolk.  To complement the work of existing alcohol and drug treatment services Public Health is inviting applications for grants to support community recovery for adults aged 18 and above.

The outcomes sought are:

  • To deliver innovative initiatives for adults aged 18 and above, and which are not already provided by other services to Norfolk residents, promoting sustained recovery for individuals transitioning out of alcohol and drug treatment services
  • To prevent the need for re-entry into alcohol and drug treatment services
  • To support individuals to engage with their communities, complementing existing alcohol and drug services

How much is available?

Public Health is offering grants of up to £50,000 per annum per application, for a maximum period of 24 months.

Who can apply?

Third sector organisations may apply for funding.  Public Health will consider partnership working as long as the partnership is led by the third sector.  The same provider can apply for more than one bid, ensuring that these are for different services or initiatives.
