There are a number of resources available to home care providers (including housing with care, supported living and reablement services) to support them in the safe management and administration of medications.
The Norfolk Medication Policy is used by home care providers for contracted service users, but also intended for use for self-funding clients.
These are further resources included in the policy but on this page as separate documents for providers to use to support the safe use of medicines, which may be printed for use as required:
- Medicines Risk Assessment
- Temporary MAR Chart
- Topical MAR Chart
- MAR request form
- Non-prescribed medication form
- PRN protocol
- Incident reporting form
The Norfolk Medication Policy is written by the Norfolk Medicines Support Service in conjunction with the Medication Working Group.
The Medicines Support Service also offers medication training courses and details can be found here.
