Who we work with

Our Adult Services team work with a range of care service user led organisations.  Three local groups that we have regular engagement with are Making it Real, Older People’s Strategic Partnership, and Carers Council for Norfolk, all of which aim to give people who use services and carers a voice in the shaping of support services.

Making it Real wants people of all ages and carers to have real choice and control over the support they need so they can lead full and independent lives. Their goals are to:

  • Put the voice of people who use services and carers in Norfolk at the heart of decision-making about community services
  • See real changes to the way services are made personal
  • See people who use services and carers work alongside people who provide services as equal partners in the design and planning of community services

The Older People’s Strategic Partnership work to ensure that older people in Norfolk lead independent and fulfilling lives.  The Partnership involves older people fully at all stages of developing services and in decision making. It also shares information and good practice across agencies and identifies gaps in services and highlights areas of concern to older people.

Carers' Council for Norfolk gives a voice to carers throughout the Norfolk and works to ensure that unpaid carers throughout Norfolk are valued, recognised and supported with equal access to a good quality of life that is not prejudiced by their caring role. Their mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of all carers in Norfolk.
