Norfolk County Council is using market development funding to support its quality improvement work, funding a programme of targeted interventions where providers require improvement to enable them to achieve a “Good” rating. This work compliments Norfolk County Council’s Quality Assurance work.
We are pleased to announce that this will be delivered by Carerite Ltd, through the ‘Be the Best Quality’ programme. Tracy Wharvell and Claire Gilbert are directors of the company and will be responsible for this programme of work. Carerite Ltd has worked mainly with care services who have been rated ‘Requires Improvement’, and have a track record of enabling care providers to achieve ‘Good’ Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating.
The programme is designed to be shaped around the care providers unique circumstances, offering knowledge, experiential learning and embedding good practice.
With Norfolk County Council Carerite Ltd will select approximately 25providers who have been recently inspected and rated ‘Requires Improvement’ or awaiting inspection and are at risk of being rated ‘Requires Improvement’. Services will be assessed and a success plan will be developed with the Manager and the senior team. This will include workforce planning and a workforce development plan.
Carerite Ltd will provide a mentoring service to the Managers to embed the culture change programme that will be required.
Evidence shows that a number of care services Managers would benefit from additional support to understand the inspection process therefore Carerite will deliver:
Home Care services will be supported to improve their leadership and management of ‘virtual teams’ and supporting lone workers.
Delivery of the ‘Be the Best Quality’ programme will commence in September 2016 and providers who are being offered this service will be contacted by Tracy and Claire form Carerite Ltd to introduce themselves and their programme.
