COVID-19 equality impact assessment

The coronavirus has affected everyone across Norfolk. There is new evidence every day about the extent of this impact.

This equality impact assessment considers the impact of COVID-19 on people with protected characteristics, such as older and younger people; men, women and people who identify as intersex or non-binary; disabled people; Black, Asian and minority ethnic people; people with different religions and beliefs; and people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.

The assessment sets out over 100 ways in which public, private and community organisations can check the accessibility of their recovery and resilience strategies and tackle unconscious bias.

We are using this equality impact assessment to understand the impact of our decisions and we are updating the assessment regularly to reflect emerging issues.
