With school closures and cancelled events due to COVID-19, households with teenagers are likely hearing more slammed doors. Not being able to see friends at school, meet up in the community and go to important events like their leaver’s day or prom will feel devastating to many young people.
Older children and young people are often exposed to lots of information that creates stress or anxiety. They may need support to understand how to maintain their emotional wellbeing during this worrying time. It is important that as adults we try hard to stay calm.
