Support and guidance to help your young person during the coronavirus pandemic.
Emotional health and wellbeing
Older children and young people are often exposed to lots of information that creates stress or anxiety. They may need support to understand how to maintain their emotional wellbeing during this worrying time. It is important that as adults we try hard to stay calm.
Asking for help from another adult that your child trusts can help. A telephone call or video chat can calm a situation and provide reassurance.

Online bullying and exploitation
While being connected on social media and the internet will provide some comfort, it is important that both adults and young people:
- Understand some of the risks online
- Know how to recognise and prevent bullying or exploitation
