While many people will enjoy good mental health most of the time, lots of us have periods when we might not feel as good as we could.

However, there are lots of easy, free things you can do to improve your wellbeing.

Norfolk’s Five Ways to Wellbeing Toolkit has a number of hints and tips on how to increase your wellbeing.

Five Ways to Wellbeing gives simple advice on things you can do to make yourself feel good. It was researched and developed by the New Economics Foundation and has already had a great impact on many Norfolk residents.

Local support services

There are lots of different local services available that offer wellbeing support:

  • Our adult learning pages list courses you can take to learn new skills and keep your mind active
  • Visit the Active Norfolk website to find information about all sorts of sports and clubs to help you find an activity you will love
  • Connect with other people at your local library
  • Use LUMi to find nearby community spaces, activities and organisations. You can also use the site to advertise and share your skills with other people
  • Norfolk and Waveney Mind offer reduced price counselling, group meet-ups and help getting back into employment
  • Volunteering is a great way of keeping busy and boosting your wellbeing
