Learning Disabilities Partnership Board

In 2001 the Government wrote a strategy called Valuing People. It said that people with learning disabilities should have the same rights and choices as everyone else.

Although some things have got better for people with learning disabilities over the last few years, the Government realised that change was happening too slowly. As a result a new strategy, Valuing People Now, was published in 2009.

Norfolk Learning Disabilities Partnership Board plays an important role in making decisions about local services and support for people with learning disabilities and their families. People with learning disabilities and family carers are fully involved in the planning of learning disabilities services.
