Get support and training for employing a personal assistant

The Direct Payment Support Service team offers assistance, advice and training to help you if you receive direct payments to pay for your care. 

This direct payment will either be made in the form of a personal budget if you are an adult, or a short breaks plan for a child with care needs. 

This guide explains how to employ a personal assistant (PA) carer and your rights and responsibilities towards them as an employer. You'll also find out how we can help you with this.
