Norfolk in Care Council

If you are a child in care in Norfolk, or a care leaver age 16-25, you can join the Norfolk in Care Council.

How you can be involved:

  • By coming along to our regular monthly meetings. We have one in each area so there is one close to you. You will: 
    • Help evaluate how well the looked after children and leaving care services are working
    • Offer advice on how to improve services
    • Work directly with managers to help make things better for all children in care and care leavers
    There is also a county meeting four times a year
  • Taking part in interviewing social workers, Personal Advisers and managers, to help make sure we get the best people in the right posts
  • Helping with commissioning new services, to make sure we get the right services in place
  • Taking part in consultations and questionnaires.These help us understand how well we are doing and what we need to improve
  • Helping recruit and be part of the training of our foster carers
