Many jobs are advertised on social media.

Make sure you think about how you use social media. Many employers use this to research applicants before they employ them. What they read about you will give them a first impression.

Other ways to find work

It is worth looking for jobs in a growing sector, for example, construction or the care sector. And keep up to date with local news, so you know if companies are expanding or coming to the area.

You can also send your CV to companies where you would like to work. Make sure you send a covering letter and explain what type of role you are looking for. You can also look for recruitment information on the HR / Careers section of a company's website.
