Pathway to parenting

Before your baby arrives and to help you prepare for your baby’s arrival, you can go on a free antenatal course called ‘Pathway to Parenting’ at a Children’s Centre.

Pathway to Parenting is a fun and interactive four week programme, covering labour, delivery, baby care and the role of the professionals you will meet along the way.

You and your partner (or family member or friend) will pick up information and practical skills, from midwives, health visitors and Children’s Centre staff.

You can get a booking form from your midwife from the 16th week of pregnancy and apply for your place. Evening and weekend courses are available.
