Free early learning and childcare

Choosing the right childcare can be a difficult decision for every parent, but can be particularly challenging if your child has a disability or special educational need. There are a range of childcare options available to you and your child and the majority of children will have their needs met through mainstream childcare providers who offer an inclusive provision for all children of different abilities.

Some two-year-olds can get free funding for quality childcare and early education. This funding is aimed at families who already receive certain benefits and tax credits and also includes children in receipt of Disability Living Allowance. The free places are only available in childcare settings that are Ofsted registered. These registered childcare providers are listed in the Norfolk Directory.

All children aged three and four are eligible to receive free early education and childcare. Again, the free places are only available in childcare settings that are Ofsted registered. These registered childcare providers are listed in the Norfolk Directory.
