Who is the service for?

The Children’s physiotherapy service is for children and young people who live or attend school in central Norfolk, and who have an assessed physical clinical need that can be addressed by physiotherapy intervention. 

Our service covers children’s physiotherapy needs from birth until they leave school.

The child should have a GP from within one of the central Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Groups:

  • North Norfolk
  • South Norfolk
  • Norwich

How to refer to us

Referrals to our service will need to be made by a qualified health professional by letter or internal referral form.

How does the service change between children’s services and adult services?

Young people who are likely to need ongoing physiotherapy input when they leave school will be referred to the appropriate adult physiotherapy services.
