Children’s physiotherapy - West Norfolk
Who is the service for?
Provided by The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust, children’s physiotherapists work as part of an integrated rehabilitation team along with children’s occupational therapists.
Babies, children and young people from birth until they leave school (aged 0 – 16/19 years).
Children must live or attend school within West Norfolk and be registered with a GP within the West Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group.
The team also provide services to West Norfolk Child Development Team.
The physiotherapists also provide community services into North Fenland in Cambridgeshire and in-patient services at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Referrals in writing via a health professional such as a GP, Consultant, Health Visitor etc.

How does the service change between children’s services and adult services?
Appropriate children are transitioned into adult physiotherapy services between 17 - 19 years of age depending on individual needs.
