Wheelchair Assessment Centre - Central

We are part of Norfolk Community Health and Care.

Who is the service and who is it for?  

Assessment and provision of different types of wheelchairs and specialist buggies.

We work with all ages from 36 months (younger if required) with an ongoing mobility problem lasting six months or more.

We cover all GP surgeries in Norfolk apart from small areas around Great Yarmouth and Kings Lynn who have their own Wheelchair Assessment Centres.

How to refer to us

If you are known to the service you can contact us directly on 01603 216956/7 or fax 01603 216969.

If you are new to the service we will require a written referral from a health care professional (GP or therapist for example).

How does the service change between children’s services and adult services?

There is no change to our service between children and adults. The clinicians and criteria are the same.
