Wheelchair Assessment Centre - West Norfolk

We are part of Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn NHS Foundation Trust.

Who is the service for?

Children and adults who have long term mobility problems and have a GP in West Norfolk. We cover all GP surgeries in Kings Lynn.

Assessment and provision of different types of wheelchairs and specialist buggies.

We work with all ages from 36 months (younger if required) with an ongoing mobility problem lasting six months or more.

If you are new to the service we will require a written referral from a health care professional (GP or therapist for example).

How does the service change between children’s services and adult services?

There is a seamless transition between children and adult services. There is no change to our service between children and adults. The clinicians and criteria are the same.
