Want to learn the skill & techniques to draw a live model? Come along to this course where you can begin to draw the human head in portrait form. Your Tutor is Rebecca Mills, an experienced creative art tutor who teaches drawing and painting.
What will I learn?
During the course you will learn to observe and identify what you see and use these observational and practical skills to render the head in portrait.
The tutor will provide various demonstrations, and there will be a range of display material including a variety of books and literature available to help you. Helpful handouts will also be available, and you will have dedicated one-to-one time with the tutor.
You will receive regular feedback from the tutor designed to help you improve your skills and knowledge.
Before you book
As this is a mixed ability course, beginners to Portraiture are welcome. As portraiture is exacting, you should have some previous drawing and painting experience.
What you will need
A detailed equipment list will be provided after the first session.
For a nominal cost you can purchase paper/boards from the Tutor.
For health & safety reasons, pungent or strong-smelling solvents/mediums are not allowed to be used in any of the Drawing and Painting Studios. Please use odourless varieties or Zest-It as a substitute.
