Norfolk Open Studios update

Norfolk Open Studios has been cancelled this year, but they are looking into the viability of postponing until Autumn. Adult Learning are also keen to look ahead to having an exhibition later this year.

We understand that this is disappointing, as many of you have been looking forward to submitting (and selling) your work. We are going to explore whether we can create a ‘virtual’ exhibition in the interim via our social media channels, as well as forward-planning for an exhibition at Wensum Lodge later in the year.

Below we have outlined ways you can still be involved:

I was planning on, and still want to submit work for Open Studios – is this still possible?

Yes please! Submit the digital submission form and send it to:

If possible, and if you are happy to, please send a photograph of your work.

If you would prefer to send your submission form via post, please send it to the following address:

I was planning on submitting my ceramic work, but it is not yet complete and was due to be fired – what will happen?

All activity has ceased to take place at Wensum Lodge, including firing works in the ceramics studio. Please do fill in a submission form, and use the box stated ‘any additional comments’ to let us know that your work needs to be fired. We can then be aware of this and try our utmost to include the work in a postponed exhibition on-site later in the year.

I have already submitted my artwork via my Tutor. Is it safe and what will happen to it?

Many thanks for submitting your artwork. Your work is safe in a locked space in Wensum Lodge. At this time, we cannot provide access for you to retrieve your artwork, as the site is closed to staff and the public going forward. When it is safe for staff and the public to be back on-site, we will let you know via email.
