Adults' Services social work in Norfolk

Message from James Bullion, Executive Director of Adult Social Services at Norfolk County Council.

I’m excited to lead a service that improves the lives of vulnerable adults in Norfolk. I’m passionate about developing and transforming services to really connect with the communities we serve. Our focus is on forging stronger links with our health partners to support people to be as independent as they want to be.

Living and working in Norfolk is a great life to live, and whatever your level of experience, the support you’ll get from our team is second to none.

If you would like to lead or be part of a team that embraces change and continually improves the way we deliver adult social services, we’d love to hear from you.

Living and working in Norfolk

Find out why we're proud of our county and why it's such a great place to live and work

"It’s not just about commissioning packages of care but more often about using our own social work skills to connect with a person to understand their strengths, ambitions and assets. We are passionate about applying the Living Well approach principles and the recovery model, with practitioners demonstrating a skilled approach to taking positive risks to promote a person’s independence."

Alison Simpkin, Head of Service
