About Norfolk First Response

The aim of our service is to keep people living in their own homes for as long as possible.

We are part of Norfolk County Council and work across the county with offices in Norwich, Kings Lynn, Dereham, Aylsham and Great Yarmouth. We also work with our health colleagues in Wymondham, Norwich Community Hospital, Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and James Paget University Hospital.

We provide the following 4 services:

Norfolk First Support - reablement support to adults in their own homes for up to 6 weeks with planned visits.

Norfolk Swift Response - a 24-hour service providing help and support if there are urgent, unplanned social care needs.

Accommodation based reablement - NFR has 2 bed-based units that work with a team of professionals, helping people to regain daily living skills before returning home.

Benjamin Court in Cromer has 18 beds and Grays Fair Court in Costessey has 20 reablement beds and 34 Housing with Care flats.
