Business support officer (BSO)

Business Support Officers (BSOs) work in the locality offices and at County Hall. There is a BSO for each locality, 2 who work across all the service and 2 at Grays Fair Court.

All the BSOs are office based, work mainly using a computer and provide administrative support to the teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as a point of contact for Support Workers, Managers and Reablement Practitioners for paperwork and queries
  • Keeping records of and booking training for the Reablement Support Workers
  • Ensuring that paperwork and PPE are available for Support Workers
  • Maintaining electronic records using software programmes
  • Filing and archiving paperwork for service users and staff
  • Minuting meetings

About you

What you'll need:

  • Good customer service skills
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • The ability to prove good IT skills and Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Ability to remain calm during high-pressure times
