We are looking for volunteers to promote and deliver a range of road safety training to adults and children alike.
If you are a parish or a community leader eg Cub Scout leader, or an individual or group who is concerned about Road Safety in your community and have a few hours to spare you can apply to become a Road Safety Volunteer.
As a Road Safety Volunteer you will receive full training, equipment and ongoing support from Norfolk County Council Road Safety Team; relevant CRB checks will be undertaken if required.
Road safety volunteer schemes
There are a number of different schemes for which you can volunteer.
Help teach young children to cross the road
Promote motorcycle training (you will need to be a competent motorcyclist)
Co-ordinate and promote driver development and eco initiatives within your business
As much as you and your trainer feel comfortable with. You will receive full training from a Road Safety Officer and only when you both feel happy will you be given any responsibility. You will receive ongoing support from a Road Safety Officer.
The materials you receive will depend on the scheme you have decided to deliver or help with eg if you are delivering cyclist training to children then hi vis jackets, certificates, signs etc will be provided.
