Library service coronavirus update

Libraries reopening

All our libraries are now open with limited services. The only exception is Hunstanton, which is open but at a new temporary location while a purpose-built library is under construction.

We're gradually expanding library opening times, so please check the branch page before visiting.

We're gradually restoring all our usual library services, including events and activities.  Check our online information for regular updates - you can also sign up for the Libraries eNewsletter.

Mobile libraries

Our mobile library services are available. Visit our mobile libraries page for more information.

Items on loan

Any items out on loan are still being automatically renewed. You will not be charged any additional overdue or renewal fees.

From Monday 1 November, we will stop automatically renewing borrowed items and ask you to renew or return your own items again.

This will allow you and other library users to have the widest possible range of options available when you visit one of our libraries.

However, we will not be reintroducing overdue charges at the same time. This is to give you some time to get back into the habit of managing your library loans.

To renew an item from 1 November you can:

If you want to return an item then there is no need to wait until 1 November. Please use the drop box or self-service kiosks at your local library.

Thank you for looking after our books - we hope you’ve enjoyed reading them!

If you have any one of the coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms you should get a test
