Each bag contains a pre-selected collection of books for adults and children of different ages. You can check out the entire bag at once using the self-service kiosk.
You can return items through the drop box or self-service kiosks.
Any items out on loan are still being automatically renewed until further notice. You will not be charged any additional overdue or renewal fees.
Reserving specific books
You can pick up reserved items that are ready to collect. Please be aware:
- Some of our stock is being used to create Grab & Go bags, so may not be on library shelves
- Some library materials are in temporary storage and not available to borrow
Sorry, we are not able to take requests for inter-library loans yet.
Requesting books for reading groups
We've added 65 new titles to our Reading Group Collection - recommended reads perfect for book club discussions.
If your group would like a copy of the list, plus tips on making the most of your book group library card, please email email@example.com
If you’d like to reserve titles for your book group…
- First check the list of available titles online
- Draw up a shortlist of two or three titles that you’d like
- Have your book club card at the ready
- Call the Library staff on 01603 774777 (10am-6pm Monday-Friday and 10am-4pm Saturday) or visit local library
Staff will then place the reservations, add the £1.80 reservation fee for the first three copies to your library card for payment.
If your group has signed up for email notifications, then you’ll hear when the books are ready to collect.
We also have an eBook collection on our Overdrive website which is perfect for book club discussions. The collection contains 50+ titles carefully chosen by library staff and available to download at any time.
