The Tricky Period service

All Norfolk Libraries and mobile libraries provide free sanitary products for people in need - no questions asked.

How it works

You can donate packs of sanitary products (tampons, sanitary pads, liners and wipes) at any Norfolk library and we'll give them to people who are struggling to afford them.

Where a library has a public toilet, we place a supply of individual items for customers to help themselves. Some libraries also put out 'help yourself' boxes in other places so that you can take what you need - such as the teenage area at the Millennium Library.

There are 'help yourself' boxes of supplies on our mobile libraries too.

If you can't find what you need in a 'help yourself' box, or you need a larger amount of supplies, you can get a bag of items from library staff by filling in a quick form.

This is a no questions asked service.

Schools and other organisations

When we get lots of donations coming into our libraries we're happy to pass some of these extra supplies on to local high schools and other organisations.

Email libraries@norfolk.gov.uk to check whether we have spare supplies available.
