Free sanitary products are available for people in need across all our libraries and mobile libraries, as well as a number of our museums and other buildings. This is a no questions asked service – if you need them, please help yourself.
We place a supply of individual items for customers to help themselves to, usually in toilet facilities. In some places we also put out 'help yourself' boxes, such as in the teenage area at the Millennium Library, and on our mobile libraries.
If you can't find what you need in a 'help yourself' box, or you need a larger amount of supplies, you can fill out a form at your local library, just ask a librarian or member of staff.
We also accept donations of unopened sanitary product packs (tampons, sanitary pads, liners and wipes) at our Tricky Period locations. These will help us keep up with demand where there is the greatest need.
When we get lots of donations coming into our libraries we're happy to pass some of these extra supplies on to local high schools and other organisations.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to request this for your school, and we can check if any spare supplies are available.
