We offer one-to-one sessions that can help you improve your computer skills.

Sessions are run by friendly, experienced library staff and are aimed at complete beginners to those who want to improve their skills. They are tailored to what you want to learn and we’ll go at your pace.

Topics available include:
  • Getting started with your tablet or smartphone
  • Getting to grips with apps
  • Food, fitness and wellbeing
  • Keeping in touch with friends and family online
  • Saving money online
  • Shopping online with confidence
  • Staying safe online
  • Tracing your family tree online
  • Starting and growing your business with the library

A one hour session costs £17.50 and includes a useful handout for you to take away.

Drop into your local library or email to arrange a session at a date and time to suit you.

Computer Buddies

Many of our libraries have volunteer computer buddies who can help with the basics of using a computer, searching the web, setting up emails and more.  Contact your local library to find out what support is available near you.

Staff can help you discover free eBooks, eNewspapers, eMagazines and eAudiobooks that you can download and enjoy at home.

Free computer help

We have received a grant from the Good Things Foundation to help us provide free computer support in libraries until April 2020.

Our friendly staff and volunteers will help you learn at your own pace, and focus on the things which interest you most.  Whether you want to use the internet to keep in touch with friends and family, apply for benefits, or start banking and shopping online, we've got courses to help you.
