Baby Bounce & Rhyme is fun session involving songs & rhymes for babies, pre school children and their parents/carers. And is great for your babies development! Sharing books and stories is all about having fun together. It also helps children develop language, listening and communication skills - it's never too early to introduce babies to the colourful world of books. Also in Norfolk Libraries we have:- * A dedicated children's catalogue * Board Books with thick easy to turn pages that will appeal to the youngest child * Story books featuring new and old friends, traditional and new stories from around the world * Lift-the-flap, pop-up, musical, novelty and tactile books * Activity books with nursery rhymes for singing and counting games * First facts books to introduce children to concepts such as letters, numbers, colours and shapes * Simple non-fiction books on themes such as trucks and diggers, wild animals and dinosaurs * New experiences books to help with new and sometimes difficult situations like moving house or a new baby * Children's DVDs and CDs containing nursery rhymes, songs and stories * Story sacks containing picture and information books, toys and a game all linked to the story * Most of our libraries hold Bounce and Rhyme times, you will find details of dates and times here * We want all parents, carers and children to feel welcome, happy and comfortable in the library so there's no need to worry about tantrums, books being pulled off the shelves or the need to feed or take a child to the toilet. There are no overdue charges for under fives. We also know that young children sometimes accidentally damage books and make no charges for this either.
