Non-urgent highways work suspended

Non-urgent highways work in Norfolk is being suspended by the County Council, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Councillor Martin Wilby, cabinet member for highways, infrastructure and transport, said: “In the light of the current situation, we are suspending all non-essential highways schemes from close of play tomorrow (Friday).

“Routine maintenance works and emergency repairs will continue to be delivered, if contractors are able to follow the rules on Covid 19.”

The suspension of works will include the following sites:

  • London Street, Norwich
  • Earlham Road, Norwich
  • Nottingham Way, Great Yarmouth
  • Colman Rd, Norwich
  • London Road, Attleborough
