Scrutiny to probe major transport plans
12 October 2021
Two major transport issues will be probed by Norfolk County Council’s scrutiny committee.
The meeting will consider reports on the proposed Norwich Western Link road and the Council’s strategy for increasing take-up of electric vehicles.
Chair of Scrutiny, Councillor Steve Morphew, said: “Transport is at the heart of how we live in Norfolk. Getting it wrong can be costly financially and to our environment and puts off opportunities to do better."
“Scrutiny needs to keep a keen eye on new developments and progress. The Norwich Western Link and electric vehicles are big ticket issues for Norfolk and we need to make sure the debate on them is well informed and based on facts that have been tested.”
The reports will be discussed when the Scrutiny Committee meets at 10am on Wednesday 20 October.
