Path closures and temporary route changes

Weavers' and Wherrymans' Way temporary change

A section of both the Wherrymans' and Weavers' Way to the north-east of Reedham and north of Berney Arms Mill will be closed temporarily.  The closure is for flood defence maintenance works, ie floodbank crest raising in the Parish of Reedham for a distance of approximately 5,500 metres.

It is proposed that the closure will run for six months from 12 June to 12 December 2017 (24 hours, 7 days a week).  The footpath will be re-opened as soon as the surface is suitable.

For the Weavers Way, there is another path that runs parallel along the track on the adjacent marsh.  A temporary link between these two paths will be made for the duration of the closure to allow walkers to continue along the Weavers' Way - download maps and further information.

Footpath diversion generally situated at the landward base of the floodbank.  Follow the on-site signage for correct route.  Access to business premises maintained.

It is possible to walk to Reedham via Wickhampton, or the Berney Arms Station is available as an alternative.

We thank you for your patience as we carry out this urgent work.

For more information including route updates and details of any diversions, visit the Wherryman's Werry website.
