Swans Nest

Swans Nest is a residential development of over 150 homes, located on off the A1065 Brandon Road, on the south side of Swaffham, approx. 29km North of Thetford and 47km West of Norwich. 

Bus stops are located on Brandon Road, Adjacent to Filby road. Norwich Road/Norwich Common.

Swans Nest is served by two regular services providing links to Swaffham town centre, with connections to Peterborough, Kings Lynn, Wisbech, Dereham, Norwich.

Many local amenities are within an easy two mile cycling distance of Swans Nest development.

A shared pedestrian and cycle path along Brandon Road, from Filby Road towards Swaffham and the Nicholas Hamond Academy does exist. Beyond the high school users are directed to cross the carriageway to the east side of Brandon road, where the pathway continues north towards the town centre.

A new shared use path has been created ton the east side of the road adjacent to the front of the development. Connecting to the shared use towards the town centre.

Additional cycle routes within the development are currently under construction.

There are no train services in the proximity of the development with the closest rail station located in King's Lynn, 26km from the site.

The station can be accessed by using the X1 Excel bus service from Swaffham. King's Lynn station offers direct connections to London Liverpool Street (peak hours only), London Kings Cross and Cambridge.

There are 212 vehicle parking spaces at King's Lynn Station, along with 104 cycle’s storage spaces. All these are CCTV monitored.
