Fakenham Road to Cromer Road

The NDR from the A1067 Fakenham Road to the A140 Cromer Road opened to traffic on Saturday 11 November 2017, around four months ahead of the original schedule.

This part of the route includes roundabouts at Fakenham Road, Fir Covert Road, Reepham Road and Drayton Lane. The only ‘grade separated’ junction on the route is at the A140 Cromer Road, which goes over the A1270 NDR on a new bridge, with access on and off the new road by roundabouts and slip roads.

The popular Marriotts Way recreational path crosses the dual carriageway on a ‘green bridge’, which carries hedgerows as well as walkers, cyclists and horse riders. There is also a bridge at Bell Farm Track, which provides private access but is also a pedestrian and cycle route between Horsford and Thorpe Marriott or Drayton
