Scooter Safety Briefing
Delivered by road safety motorcycle specialists, the session is designed for students who either currently own a moped or scooter or are seriously considering doing so.
Aims
To introduce students to some of the challenges they are likely to encounter whilst owning and riding a moped or scooter and how to deal with them.
Course details
This pupil experience is delivered face to face
The session runs for approximately 50 minutes. This session is suitable for 16-17 year olds.
Learning objectives
- Safe use of the moped/scooter
- Commonly encountered scenarios
- Keeping their distance and looking further ahead
- Wearing the right clothing
- Consequences of de-restricting the bike and behaving illegally
- Peer group pressures
