Mile Cross Recycling Centre

Mile Cross Recycling Centre closed its doors for the final time on Thursday 9 September. This means that waste and recycling can no longer be taken to this location for disposal.

The brand-new Norwich North recycling centre is now open.

Pease do not take or dispose of any materials at Mile Cross. CCTV is in operation at the site and any waste disposal may be investigated as fly tipping, which could result in legal action.

The opening of Norwich North recycling centre will mark a major step forward for our project to give the Greater Norwich area two large modern new recycling centres, to make a service that’s fit for the future and that can meet the needs of a growing population. The new Norwich North recycling centre, which will complement the new Norwich South recycling centre (opening late 2021) will be the largest in the county, and is part of our multi million pound programme of investment to improve recycling centres across the county. More details about the new recycling centres can be found on the Major waste and recycling projects page.

The new Norwich South recycling centre at Harford is set to open in late 2021, and will replace the Ketteringham site.
