Christmas collection gift donation appeal

Make someone smile this Christmas

Our annual Christmas appeal for 16 to 18-year-olds in care is back.

More than 100 young people in Norfolk live in supported accommodation. Often, they spend Christmas alone and without their families. These young people rely on support from their social worker. They usually receive very few gifts at Christmas time.

Our Christmas appeal gives the people of Norfolk a chance to show how much they care. By donating gifts and vouchers you can make a real difference to these young people.

There are various ways you can donate gifts. We outline the full details below.

Ways to donate

Take your gifts to a Norfolk library

We are looking for stocking filler items. For example, toiletries, gift sets, socks, blankets, small games, hats, gloves, and sweet treats.

Please note, we can only accept new items which are suitable for under 18s. We can't accept candles or wrapped gifts. If you have a voucher, please don't seal the envelope.

You can drop off unwrapped gifts to any library during staffed hours  up until Friday 12 December 2025.

Buy a hamper from a local business

We have partnered once again with The Norfolk Jar Kitchen, and they've created a sweets hamper for us. To get your £5 hamper to us, make sure you buy the hamper from our collection. It's called 'NCC Childrens Services Hamper'.

Buy gift vouchers

Our young people love to receive vouchers from places such as:

  • Supermarkets
  • Boots
  • Primark
  • Sports Direct
  • Love2Shop

How to get your vouchers to us

Please email the vouchers to [email protected]. This mailbox is monitored Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm. Read our privacy notice to find out how we use your personal information.

If you've purchased physical vouchers, please take your gift to a Norfolk library (see section above).

Closing date

The closing date for donations is Friday 12 December 2025. This gives us time to sort and distribute the gifts and vouchers to our young people in time for Christmas.

Thank you to all of those supporting our Christmas campaign this year and in previous years.
