Consultations on savings proposals

Norfolk County Council is asking for your views on savings proposals. For 2024/25 the Council has proposed £41.5m of new savings which may require further consultation.

The proposals in this consultation would contribute towards our savings target. We will continue to meet all statutory duties which we are required by law to carry out.

Proposals currently out for consultation

Care, support and health: Adult Social Care charges for non-residential care

  • Make some changes to the charging policy: reducing the Minimum Income Guarantee (MIG)
  • MIG is an amount that people must be left with to cover living expenses before charges can be made for non-residential care and support

Care, support and health: Adult Social Care charges for self-funded care

  • Introduce an arrangement fee for people who self-fund their social care in line with Care Act 2014 guidance

Consultation period

  • The consultation begins on 19 February 2024
  • You can share your views until midnight on 17 May 2024
