Improving the Lives of Carers in Norfolk

Do you provide unpaid care or support to a family member, friend, or neighbour who is frail, disabled or unwell?

Adult Social Services and its partners want to improve the quality of life of Carers in Norfolk. We need to know what Carers want and what Carers want to see changed, so that we can plan services for the future.

If you are a Carer, we want to hear your views – they really can make a difference.

Have your say by completing a short online questionnaire at www.surveymonkey.com, or by requesting a paper copy from Leah Jeffery on 01603 224481

Or use our Online Social Care Enquiry Form

Who will you speak to when you call us?

You will speak with a trained customer service advisor who can provide information and signposting.

If your enquiry is complex or if you need an assessment you will either be transferred directly to a member of our specialist social care team, or we will take basic details from you and arrange for a member of our specialist social care team to call you back.

Our specialist social care team will discuss your situation with you in depth, provide information and advice, and may arrange services or a visit from our staff to assess your needs so that we can provide further help.

If you are an existing client of Adult Social Services we will put you through to the person looking after your case, or take basic details from you and arrange for them to call you back.

Emergency service outside normal office hours (Mon – Fri, 8am – 6pm)

Outside office hours we offer an emergency service only on the above number which is intended for people who are in danger and unable to protect themselves, or for people unable to remain in the community without immediate intervention. It includes emergency actions required to protect a child or vulnerable adult from significant harm and assessments under the Mental Health Act 1983 by an Approved Social Worker. If you call us outside normal office hours and can reasonably wait until the next working day, we will ask you to call us back during office hours.
